CALL FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF PART-TIME TECHNICAL MANAGER
The Koperattiva Produtturi taz-Zebbug Limited is seeking to employ a part-time Technical Manager in connection with an EU funded project under the EAFRD Programme. Reporting to the Project Leader, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
- Act as the main focal point for all scientific research to be undertaken during the lifetime of the project and to coordinate with the researchers to ensure full coordination with the researchers of the project;
- Act as the primary point of contact for the stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded;
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of project’s objectives and targets. Provide guidance, support, and direction to the Project Leader as needed;
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project’s schedules and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Proactively address any issues that arise during project execution;
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards throughout the duration of the projects. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports. Provide regular updates to the Project Leader on project status, milestones, and key metrics;
- Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to high performance and employee growth.
Requirements

Education and Experience
- Hold a Master of Science in Rural and Environmental Sciences or an equivalent Master’s Degree
- A working experience of not less than five years
- A valid clean driving license is required for travel to various project sites.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Office software is essential.
- Proven experience in genetic studies, with a strong understanding of olive cultivation, genetic and scientific research.
- Proven experience on public procurement, drafting of quotations and tenders.
- Proven experience in EU funded projects and project management.
- Experience in data, information and technical reports compiling for new and innovative ways of agricultural production
- In the case of public officers, the applicant must hold the approval from the Ministry to undertake part-time employment
